Amira's Totally Chocolate World

This is a really sweet book from Kube Publishing about a little girl that wishes for a totally chocolate world, and dreams of it actually happening, but realizes that she misses color and wakes up from her dream to find her mom had made her a totally chocolate cake!!⠀ ⠀ While the intention of the book is trying to teach little children about the blessing of the colors that Allah made, it wasn’t clear with the text until the ayah was included.⠀

I also didn’t really get the story line, and it was too much text. I felt like most of the details were repetitive, and it didn’t make sense that the girl got bored of the chocolate. It seemed like she just randomly missed color after some chocolate. ⠀ ⠀ The illustrations were really cute, and my daughter enjoyed all the funny chocolate references. ⠀ At the end of the story, when the little girl sees the chocolate cake her mom made, it almost seemed like it was meant to be scary/funny. Like she had woken up from her dream to see her worst nightmare come true. That part actually made me laugh! ⠀ Overall though, my daughter agreed that it would be fun to live in a totally chocolate world (my five year old says as long as there is plenty of pink chocolate involved too😉)⠀ ⠀ Get yours from Precious pearls
