This book by Na'ima B. Robert is a beautiful ode (poem-like book) to Hajj! It doesn’t rhyme, but it flows beautifully and the words moved me and attracted my kids’ attention.⠀ ⠀ The steps of Hajj are beautifully explained, one after the other. Ihram and Tawaf are shown, and the fact that everyone becomes equal with each other moving together as one is beautifully mentioned. It really brings the spirituality of Hajj through to the reader. Saiyee is explained as well, and the story of Haajar is written into it in a way for the reader to identify with her.⠀ ⠀ The pictures are beautiful and show many details about the places of Hajj. Mina was shown as many tents, one after the other. Ramy Al-Jamarat was so similair to the actual place where the stones are thrown at the pillars representing Shaytan.⠀ ⠀ At the end of the book, each pilgrim returns to his home, changed by this amazing journey.⠀ ⠀ The book is beautiful, and my kids enjoyed learning about Hajj. ⠀ Get yours from www.siraj.co
