Hassan and Aneesa Celebrate Eid

The Hassan and Aneesa series from Kube Publishing is fantastic in explaining Islamic concepts to children. ⠀ ⠀ This one about Eid is perfect in including all the details of Eid that children love, while also including the religious details in a fun way that teaches kids without them even realizing it.⠀ ⠀ In the story, Hassan and Aneesa, on the day before Eid, help their parents in decorating the house and making (or eating) yummy treats. Their mom prepares the yummy Eid food and their dad wraps their presents (my favorite part! I look forward to wrapping the kid’s presents on Eid). ⠀

The story also touches on the importance of paying Zakat-Al-Fitr before Eid prayer. ⠀

Hassan and Aneesa wake up, clean themselves (ghusl of Eid), and wear their finest clothes. Then they head to the outdoors area where Eid Salah is being held.(all these are teaching the readers the sunnahs of Eid)⠀

They come back to their house and have family and friends over for a Eid party, and they open their new presents.⠀

At the end of the day, their parents are left with a huge messy house and they fall asleep on the couch while their kids still play with their new toys.
