Islamic Months Book
What a wonderful new book from @shade7_ ⠀ It is such a new way of Islamic learning that I am so excited about!⠀ ⠀ The book is made of wonderful quality and is an open accordion style, with the pages opening completely and extending all the way outwards.⠀ ⠀ The first page contains illustration contributions from young illustrators, which is really neat. And the next page contains all the names of the Islamic months in a circle and numbers. This is good for helping kids learn their counting from 1-12. ⠀ Each month has a particular symbol relating to the meaning of the name, and this helps visual learners learn the meanings of the month names.⠀ ⠀ The pages contain the names of the 12 Islamic months in both Arabic and English. This is awesome for expanding your kids’ Islamic language vocabulary in both languages.⠀ ⠀ The book also contains 12 lift-a-flaps with more information about each of the Islamic months underneath.⠀ ⠀ The information is related to the definitions of the names in Arabic, as well as containing information from the Seerah and islamic history. ⠀ Important dates like Ramadan, the two Eids, and Ashura are also mentioned, helping children with learning the Islamic timeline and what comes when. (This is also perfect for older children who wonder when Eid is!)⠀ ⠀ The fact that there are four special months is mentioned, and this was another important Islamic tidbit I loved teaching to my kids.⠀ ⠀ The illustrations are so unique and beautiful and they help with learning the meanings of the Islamic months.⠀ ⠀ This book is suitable for ages 1 and all the way to age 9, because of all the different ways it can be used and all the awesome information included in it! ⠀ ⠀ I can see it being used as a calendar display of the current month so the kids can relearn about the month over and over. The design of the book makes it so easy to display upright for this purpose!⠀ ⠀ Check out @shade7_ for a free printable calendar and more freebies and crafts.⠀
