Oh my heart. This beautiful book details the travel of the "Midnight Sun”, a Mosque built and donated to the people of Inuvik, a small town at the northernmost part if Canada, 200 km north of the Arctic Circle (it is one of the most northern mosques in the whole world!!)

I just love reading non-fiction and this story sparked in me such wonder at reading an inspiring tale of courage, charity, and community❤️

From the people who donated and built the mosque in Winnepeg, to the driver of the truck, to the people who moved the signs on the side of the road, widened the bridges, raised the electric wires, moved it onto the barge, helped construct the minaret, and then paint and set up the Mosque- this truly was a beautiful community effort.

I loved how an interfaith event with the mayor was held to celebrate the Mosque opening. The small town vibes just added to that close knit community feel.

Truly this book is like a warm hug, and the absolutely gorgeous illustrations just complement the beautiful simple lyrical words.

A def must have and one I am super excited to have on my shelf❤️
