Ahhh I was so pleasantly surprised by this book and it made me laugh aloud numerous times when reading it😂

Haarith has never sighted the Ramadan moon before, it is always too far and too hard to see. He hatches a plan, he needs to get up close to see it. Conveniently, Hakeem his friend has a rocket in his backyard and the friends all blast off into space to get a closer look! Yay its the Ramadan moon!!

Lol truly the fantastical unrealistic elements of this book totally worked for me and I enjoyed it greatly, especially the witty side comments (like flying from the swings make a good pilot). I see kids enjoying this book and it being a great little space themed Ramadan Read Aloud!

The faceless illustrations make this a unique Muslim book and the text included tidbits on Ramadan coming after Shaaban and about the sighting of the crescent moon.

I do feel like the text could’ve been improved linguistically, but I still think it’s an amazing Ramadan read and one kids will definitely enjoy!
