Wow, this book was one of the more unique and beautiful entries to the #muslimbookstagramawards2021 .⁠

It is a simple beautiful concept based on a hadith, one that says the whole world is a masjid to pray, except for graveyards and bathrooms (Tirmidhi 317). I love that the two hadith referenced in the book were both sourced! This is what we love seeing in books, authenticity in a beautiful format!⁠

The little girl (in hijab) is the main character and the book shows all the places you can (and cannot) pray through beautiful lyrical rhyme. (There’s also a page about the hidden, albeit humorous, dangers of praying in new places). The rhymes are well done, the words fun to read, and the kid friendly text easy to understand. This book takes an Islamic idea and teaches it in a format that is sure to be something that kids learn from and remember!⁠

The book pages are glossy and high quality, the cover is rubbery material that is thick and durable for kids, and the book is a BIG size and perfect for readalouds!!⁠

One thing I loved was that the author is actually ALSO the illustrator! How amazing that she designed and made the whole book herself, and it is def a high-quality beautiful testament of her talent.⁠

Also, I am always on the lookout for more diverse Muslim reads and I LOVED that this book featured #BlackMuslims ❤️❤️ The goofy images and cute illustrations of the two kids just exudes black muslim kid joy and it was amazing to see!!

Def a must have for any #muslimbookshelf
