A cute folktale that made me laugh aloud and my kids keep reading over and over!
Genre: Picture Book

Author: Margaret Read Mcdonald
Illustrator: Alik Arzoumanian
Publisher: Two Lions
Tunjur! Tunjur! Tunjur!
This adorable folktale comes with so many lessons in a hilarious story kids will love to read again and again.
Tunjur the little pot really wants to go to the market, but his mother said he’s too small to know right from wrong. He goes anyways, and the first day he gets some honey and successfully brings it home to his mother. But the next day when he gets the Queens jewels, his mother knows that he has stolen them. The third day someone takes the pot back to the king and the pot is filled with yucky donkey waste as punishment for stealing the jewels.
Tunjur learns not to take what does not belong to him!
This book is so funny and so adorable, definitely a folktale that could be told by an Arab grandmother. I love how it comes from a real Palestini@n folktale, and The illustrations just complement the beautiful folktale feel.
A book that is a wonderful bedtime read!
